Sculpting - Animal - Elephant

Finally, the first sculpting of animal and if I have any more time, there will be more of animal sculpting but for now, I have chose to do something grand, big scale animal with enough textures to work on and selecting elephant seems to be a great choice since it has hard, thick skin and huge in scale.

I had to focus on every single detail to make it look as realistic as possible. Even though it was a huge challenge, sculpting animal seems to be rather fascinating compare to human, as a personal opinion. Maybe its because of their unique body shapes and textures give more joy to sculptors.

Sculpting - Human - Female & Male head

While sculpting female head, I had to compare the difference between the male head and female head, to see what the actual differences are. However, there will be differences but it will be a good time to see how my sculptures are and if they genuinely do look different at all with the sculpting skill I have.

In male part, he has significantly a thicker neck line and broader jaw/chin whereas female has complete opposite. First time sculpting a woman's face but maybe do the hair style better and showing less of the forehead.

Sculpting - Human - Female leg

To be perfectly honest, sculpting arm and leg was relatively easy since the structure of the body itself isn't far off different compare to the male body except female is considerably more slander and has less muscle.

As I am repeating this again but having experience and knowledge of what you are going to sculpt is outstandingly better compare to what I previously did before which was sculpting whatever I thought i could without any idea, just have a go at it and see how this sculpting will turn out.

Sculpting - Human - Female arm

This time, female arm

Sculpting - Human - Female torso

After finish sculpting male figure, its time to sculpt female, beginning with torso.

Without any references, this would've been fairly difficult but because of male torso sculpture I did before, the shape itself was very similar, just female figure is more slander compare to male.

Sculpting - Human - Male body

Finally, by finishing each part of male body parts, it's time to put them all together, building a final piece of male body.

However, with obvious lack of skill in Zbrush, it was a challenge for me to put this figure in the position where I wanted it to. by doing so, it might have altered some parts of this male figure but so far, in my personal opinion, it's a success and from this sculpture, I have gained far more knowledge than what I have expected, such as which part of muscle will react if the position of human is different than the position they had before.

Sculpting - Human - Male head

Continuing from skull - if I sculpted a male skull, it would be natural if i sculpt a male head as well to see if both sculptures match each other, in shape and scale.

First, getting the shape of the head right. Also, don't forget to sculpt around the neck as well to give more realistic feeling to it.

Finally, match up if both of them look similar to each other. Personally, it's a first try for me to sculpt realistic sculptures and it certainly gave me significant boost towards to my sculpting as well as the understanding of how human's look, with great detail. Each bones and muscles are important to know if you are going to do realistic sculptures.
